Sravanam: Listening to His stories
1. Provide an opportunity for talented children or adults who can tell a story about
Gurudev or His students and talk about a book they have written. Balavihar
assembly can provide the platform for this activity.
2. Every Chinmaya member should learn a text from one of the Chinmaya Mission
trained teachers.
3. Offer storytelling sessions at the mission centers or public libraries during the
weekdays.
Keerthanam: Singing His glories
1. Expand Swaranjali (for adults & children) through programs at devotee homes. Have
different centers conduct National Swaranjali Fest every year.
2. Participate in Gita Fest, a national Gita chanting program of the mission
3. Create / Revive Chinmaya Youth Band for creating upbeat music for bhajans/songs
on Gurudev
Smaranam: Remembering Him
1. Every Chinmaya devotee should take an active role in the Mission daily.
2. Conduct annual book exhibition showcasing the works of Gurudev and His
devotees. Make the exhibition relevant for the local community.
3. Promote likhita japa through pre-created coloring templates for children and adults
that can be filled with their favorite God’s name
Paada Sevanam: Grateful to His guidance
1. Organize fundraisers and Donation drives for His work through devotees and their extended families
2. Publicize Certification in Hindu Spiritual Care Course (CHSC)
3. Create support group for new families from India to settle down, financial advice,
help with college admissions, and retirement
Archanam: Worshipping Him
1. Each Chinmaya devotee can volunteer to take care of the altar in the center.
2. Create a special place for Gurudev in the center for people to visit and learn of His
contributions. A quiet place of reflection and meditation.
3. Actively connect young families with Chinmaya centers and how they can spend
time in the center while growing spiritually together.
Vandanam: Praising Him
1. Celebrate His birthday as the Aradhana Day and expand the community
understanding of His work and Our understanding of it through local programs.
2. Celebrate Guru Poornima as National Festival of Chinmaya Mission.
3. Participate in Maha Samadhi Camp in-person or remotely to strengthen our
dedication to His work.
Dasyam: Serving His devotees
Local community support projects under CORD USA.
1. Prepare ‘Back-to-school” bags for children who cannot aYord the expenses.
2. Prepare Thanksgiving-food baskets and participate in local community volunteering
opportunities.

Sakhyam: Friendship with His devotees
1. Each family oYer Bhiksha at least once a month. Bhiksha can be oYered to the
resident or visiting swami or brahmacharis.
2. Chinmaya Dham Yatra: Visit at least four centers around your center and build the
concept of “We stand as one family”. Do this in groups instead of individually.
3. Network with CHYK and jCHYK community, and integrate them into Chinmaya
Mission centers through annual CHYK camp.
4. Actively expand Vanaprastha program for new retirees, and members outside
Chinmaya family
Atma Nivedanam: Dedication to His work
1. Balavihar: Expanding the Balavihar program to include Garbha sanskar for
expectant mothers, Shishu Vihar for the infants, and Amrita Vihar for diYerently
abled children.
2. Study Groups: Create a mobile application to learn about the study groups in a
neighborhood and expand the oYerings where none exist. Digital Mission will
expand the Mission activities in the next decade.
3. Yagnas: Every center publish an yagna calendar the way Gurudev used to publish
His calendar for a whole year in advance.
