Magazines

Mananam, CMW’s spiritual journal publication, was started in 1978 to provide seekers with uplifting articles on Vedantic themes. A compilation of thematic articles by teachers from spiritual traditions around the world, Mananam is one of the most noteworthy spiritual publications today.

The Sanskrit word mananam means “reflection.” The Mananam series is dedicated to promoting the ageless wisdom of Vedanta, with an emphasis on the unity of all religions. In each issue, the world’s spiritual teachers of different traditions give practical, resourceful pointers for inner growth and insightful answers to age-old questions. Each issue has a themed topic and articles are chosen accordingly. This semi-annual publication of CMW features Vedanta through comparative religion with a host of relevant spiritual topics.

The primary aim of the Mission’s home-study courses is to provide clarity and depth in Vedantic study. Pujya Gurudev initiated a unique method to study Vedanta at home, through structured lessons. These lessons are now available through Chinmaya International Foundation’s (CIF’s) Vedanta correspondence courses via mail and e-mail. The materials of study are the same, regardless of the mode of correspondence. Students may choose their level of study.
